October 10, 2009 – Robert and Susan

This was a very special wedding.  Robert is my brother-in-law, and I’ve been looking forward to shooting Robert and Susan’s wedding for over a year now.  What made their wedding so special (besides the family connection) was that they had it in Newfoundland, the one province I hadn’t yet visited.  My wife and I flew in and spent a week on “The Rock” touring around and getting to know some of the friendliest Canadians I’ve ever met.  Congratulations, Robert and Susan – I hope you love your photos as much as I enjoyed getting to celebrate with you!

October 3, 2009 – Brian and Ivanette

This weekend, I had the honour of photographing the wedding of a fellow wedding photographer.  I met Brian and his wife through a local photography club, and they invited me to photograph their wedding.  Brian and Ivanette are an amazing couple and their wedding was definitely one-of-a-kind!  In order to provide them the best coverage possible, I invited a friend of mine, Sebastien Blais, to help me make sure not a single moment was missed.  Sebastien took me under his wing a few years ago, and helped me get started in wedding photography.  I am very, very grateful for his help yesterday, and I think the results speak for themselves.

September 7, 2009 – Rafael and Mariana Reloaded!

No, you’re not suffering from deja-vu, this is the same couple whose wedding I shot last weekend.    Before their wedding last weekend, we made arrangements to get some “couple” shots downtown, after Rafael and Mariana got back from their honeymoon in Quebec city.  So on Labour Day, we met up downtown and got some fantastic shots around Parliament, the historic Rideau canal, and the gorgeous Chateau Laurier.  One of the advantages of being a photographer in Ottawa is the abundance of fantastic settings for photos.  Here are a few of the highlights.

August 30, 2009 – Rafael and Mariana

Rafael and Mariana were kind of a last-minute booking for me, but it turned out to be one of the most fun weddings I’ve had all year.  They’re both of South American origin, so I spent a good part of the night working on my Spanish.    They were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Lac Leamy Hilton, followed by a VERY energetic reception in a hall at the hotel.  There was even a surprise costume party just before midnight!  I had a blast meeting Rafael and Mariana, and sharing their special day with them.  Congratulations guys, I hope you love your photos as much as I loved meeting you.

August 29, 2009 – Baby Jacinda

On Saturday, my friends Pina and Franco asked me to take a few photos of their newborn baby, Jacinda.  She’s an adorable little 3-week old, and I was lucky enough to catch her during naptime.  She was very tolerant of being “posed”, and barely made a peep!  Here’s my favorite shot from the sesson.
